Friends Visiting

This week I’ve had some company. Stevie, Scott and Laura came to visit me in Malta. We’ve had such a good time so far. Stevie could only stay here for a week due to work but Scott and Laura are still here till Saturday before going back home. Here’s a couple of things we’ve done. Got hammered at the club area on the first night, had a great time. Did some bottle service, drank like 5 bottles of vodka or something. Sunday was a washout we just chilled out, had some lunch and went to the cinema and bowling. Monday we rented a speed boat and went to the Blue Lagoon. We took some beers, some coolers, a picnic and did some snorkelling and had a great day. I however got badly sun burned, that will teach me to drive the boat without my shirt on. The rest of that week was chilled before going to Valetta, the capital of Malta on Friday. We walked around the harbour, ate some ice creams and had a nice day out. Friday night we went nuts again in the clubs. Some friends met up with us and we ordered more bottles of vodka and got pretty drunk ( me especially) We eventually got home at 6am and slept most of the day. Stevie had to leave at 7pm Saturday night to go home and since then we’ve just chilled out the rest of last weekend. This week is going to be quiet too, we might go to the cinema and watch some football but then on Friday night we’ll be clubbing again as its my girlfriends birthday and we’re having a party. Living In Malta

In July I moved from Scotland to Malta. The difference was huge for me. Malta is an older type of country whereas Scotland is new and busy and always developing. The first 2-3 weeks here were a bit weird for me, adjusting to the weather was hard - still not adjusted and its getting cooler - but other things got to me a little too. For instance, in Scotland we have a smoking ban which means no one can smoke in public places, restaraunts, bars, cafe’s etc. Malta has it too, however no one adheres to it. That bugged me as a non smoker. I missed my friends back home and a couple of other things weren’t right, I built it up too much in my own head. 4 weeks on from that tho I’m enjoying myself again, I appreciate what I have and when you let go and accept Malta for what it is, you soon find out its not a bad place to live at all. Sun, sea, clubs, pubs, bars, great people to hang out with. I think I’ll like this little place after all

Just got back from Barcelona this morning, went for the weekend and loved it. Would like to live there for a while at some point in my life.

As the title says, this is just a little blog where I can document the goings on in my life. Its much more personal than a bebo or facebook site. Its also something I can look back on in years to come. I’ll be updating it shortly.
