Living In Malta

by admin on Sep.09, 2009, under Uncategorized

In July I moved from Scotland to Malta. The difference was huge for me. Malta is an older type of country whereas Scotland is new and busy and always developing. The first 2-3 weeks here were a bit weird for me, adjusting to the weather was hard - still not adjusted and its getting cooler - but other things got to me a little too. For instance, in Scotland we have a smoking ban which means no one can smoke in public places, restaraunts, bars, cafe’s etc. Malta has it too, however no one adheres to it. That bugged me as a non smoker. I missed my friends back home and a couple of other things weren’t right, I built it up too much in my own head. 4 weeks on from that tho I’m enjoying myself again, I appreciate what I have and when you let go and accept Malta for what it is, you soon find out its not a bad place to live at all. Sun, sea, clubs, pubs, bars, great people to hang out with. I think I’ll like this little place after all :)
